Flexible, truck-mounted solutions

The Magnum 72 is just one of Scarab's expertly engineered truck-mounted road sweeping solutions. Because of this flexibility, the Magnum 72 can be fitted to a wide choice of chassis including those from DAF, Iveco, MAN, Mercedes, Volvo, Renault, Freightliner and more

Single engine, lower emissions

Scarab can justifiably claim to be the pioneer of the truck-mounted sweeper powered from a single-engine.

Operating the whole machine from the engine of the truck chassis provides many advantages, including reduced fuel consumption, decreased noise and engine pollution, less weight, greater payload and reduced maintenance.

FEATURES

Hydrostatic System:

The Scarab designed hydrostatic gearbox is installed in the chassis driveline and allows the sweeping components to be powered directly from the chassis engine. It also offers a range of operator benefits with its simple joystick control for Forward and Reverse, allowing single-pedal control which reduces fatigue and enables the driver to fully concentrate on sweeping.

Powerful & Reliable Suction Performance

A stainless steel 905.5mm roof-mounted impellor is positioned to produce a short, efficient airflow path for high suction performance and reduced power consumption. Scarab's high-speed fan option can take the Magnum 72 to the next level of sweeping performance.

Extensive Sweeping Capabilities

The Magnum 72 is available in both single and optional dual sweep configuration. When the suction nozzle, side brush and widesweep functions are in operation the Magnum 72 can sweep at a 2365mm width. However, the brushes can reach an impressive 3200mm span when simultaneously dual sweeping.

Strong, Robust Hopper

The hopper is completely manufactured from strong, corrosion and abrasion-resistant 4003 stainless steel. The hopper is shot blasted, a two-pack epoxy primer is applied and a hard-wearing topcoat provides a superior finish. The particulate screening is hinged and swings down to provide access to the operator for cleaning.

Total, Intuitive Control

The intuitive CANbus controls and a colour monitor provide comprehensive feedback to both the driver and service team. The clear display indicates the sweeping configuration and vehicle condition - while also highlighting warnings and service reminders. Our real-time monitoring and data logging provide valuable assistance in troubleshooting technical problems and help keep your machine running at its most efficient.
